List Your RentalVacation Home Rental Licensing in OTC
Otter Tail County requires a Vacation Home Rental (VHR) license for short-term rental properties outside incorporated city limits. Licenses are annual (Jan 1 – Dec 31) and must be obtained before operating.
Requirements include septic compliance, occupancy limits based on bedroom square footage, guest registry, and liability insurance. Some municipalities (like Battle Lake) have additional local requirements and license caps.
